SMALL AND LARGE CARNIVORES – A combination of fun and educational activities
One of the most popular educational programs includes a guided tour of the DINA Large Carnivores Centre and a workshop called Walk with a Hunter. During the tour, students explore ten interactive stations guided through the world of the wolf, lynx, and bear, and then head together to the nearby forest to put their theoretical knowledge into practice.
SECRETS OF THE PIVKA LAKES – Do the birds know where the water disappears?
One of the most popular educational programs includes a guided tour of the Ecomuseum of the Seasonal Lakes of Pivka and a workshop called Walk to the Lake. During the museum tour, students focus on solving the eternal mystery of the karst landscape—where, oh where, does all this water disappear? This is followed by a guided walk to the lake, which sometimes majestically stretches beneath St. Trinity, while at other times its surface is covered with numerous flowers.
Our exhibitions and guides are suitable for all age groups; the content is adapted for our youngest visitors as well as curious secondary school students. The method of delivering knowledge and the complexity of information are tailored to each specific age group.

We strive for “edutainment” (i.e., entertaining-educational) programs. We achieve this with highly specialized guides (botanist, hunter, ornithologist, historian, etc.) and interactive exhibitions that include AR elements and numerous multimedia contents.
