Inaccessible content on the website – assessment of disproportionate burden
We continuously monitor the website’s accessibility and progressively improve individual accessibility elements. However, some published content may not fully meet all accessibility requirements as defined by the Act on the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications.
We have improved and adapted certain accessibility elements in accordance with the provisions of ZDSMA as much as possible. However, some web content cannot fully meet all accessibility requirements. Fully adapting this content would be unreasonable due to the complexity of the materials and would represent a disproportionate burden in terms of financial and human resources.
Examples of such content include:
- Scanned documents in PDF format (PTI assesses this as a disproportionate burden due to the staffing and financial resources required for optimization),
- Programmatically generated documents (e.g., annual reports, organizational work documents, business and financial plans, etc.) (PTI assesses this as a disproportionate burden due to the staffing and financial resources required for optimization),
- Complex graphical displays (PTI assesses this as a disproportionate burden due to the staffing and financial resources required for optimization),
- In some cases, certain video recordings may not be equipped with subtitles and/or sign language (PTI assesses this as a disproportionate burden due to the financial implications involved and frequent content changes, which pose challenges in maintaining up-to-date translations).
- Some photos on the website may not yet have alternative text or their accompanying text does not clearly describe what they depict; some photos serve purely decorative or visual purposes to complement textual content; all content is accessible without the use of photos or their alternative texts.
PTI assesses the disproportionate burden based on the fact that the financial consequences would be disproportionate to the benefit for the user, or in this case, there is no benefit for the user.
PTI commits to providing users of the website www.visitpivka.si, whenever possible, access to inaccessible content through alternative means (by phone, via email, personal visit, etc.). Information on how to obtain data and documents in an accessible format is described in the Feedback and Contact Information section.
